Adam has several achievements up his sleeve and he has already set the stage for more such achievements in the years to come. His first break into the big screen was through the Saturday Night Live and after which he debuted in Hollywood movies. Several of his movies have grossed over $100 million in box office and were considered mega hits. No one else has such kind of achievements in comedy genre. Only action oriented movies and super star cast movies can gross amounts like that. Though he is the most popular actor in the comedian category, Adam has starred in movies such as Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore which are not completely comedy oriented movies.
Adam Sandler was actually born to Judy, a nursery school teacher, and Stanley Sandler, who was an electrical engineer, in Brooklyn. Sandler comes from the Jewish sect of religion and he is believed to be religious. His family later moved to Manchester where he went to the Manchester Central High School. Even in his school days, people found Adam to be a natural comic and had the ability to make people laugh.
Later he studied fine arts in New York University where he nurtured his talent for comedy and took part in several plays on campus and also in some clubs.
