Keanu Reeves Biography

When he first entered Hollywood, his agent thought that his name was too exotic so he decided to call him K. Reeves. But later when he became successful most people preferred calling him Keanu.
Keanu even though was born in Lebanon does not hold a Lebanese citizenship. He actually is a naturalized Canadian and also holds British citizenship. He follows Buddhism as a religion and has a multicultural background because of his parentage and the places he lived in with his mother and sisters. Reeves has lived all over the world and had to live in different countries because his mother was in and out of several relationships which made them move frequently.
Keanu was very good at hockey when he was going to college in Toronto. Until he came into the movies he was on the national hockey team and he won the MVP during his stint with the team. He later started taking acting lessons which made him leave college. He attended a free school so that he does not have to go to regular college in order to finish his under graduate course. However, Keanu left the effort and came to Los Angeles after discontinuing his college. Keanu Reeve’s first movie was Youngblood with Rob Lowe and it was an ice hockey film. He got a bigger role in River’s Edge after that and the real break through came from the movie Point Break. Thereafter, it was Speed and then there was no looking back for Reeves.
