Orlando Bloom Biography
Orlando Bloom was born on January 13 in Canterbury, Kent, England. Orlando always wanted to become an actor, even as a child. It is claimed that he used to say that by becoming an actor, he could be whatever he wanted to be like Superman, Spiderman or anything else in the world. |
In 1993, he moved from Canterbury to London to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor. Orlando studied in the National Youth Theatre and then won a scholarship to the British American Acting Academy and studied there. He acted in the critically acclaimed movie in 1997 titled Wilde. He got several film offers after Wilde and turned down many offers to concentrate on theater. He played major roles in several plays like the Seagull, Twelfth Night and Trojan Women. He also further studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Orlando’s movie career took off on a big scale with his role in The Lord of the Rings and its sequels. Everyone remembered him more for his role in the Fellowship of the Ring and all wanted to know who the blue eyed boy with the blonde hair was. He then acted in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy which were all major box office hits.
Orlando is known to be quite different in real life than the roles he has played so far. He is very enthusiastic and full of energy but at the same time he is reserved and guarded. He has tried all kinds of extreme sports like sky diving, bungee jumping, surfing and snowboarding, and he has claimed that he enjoys adrenaline sports a lot.
