George Bush was born on July 6, 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1948, his family moved from Connecticut to Texas. In the year 1961, Bush enrolled in the Phillips Academy in Andover to study and also went to Yale after that. In the same year his father lost the elections and the senate in Texas. |

After graduating from Yale in 1966, Bush got engaged and then decided to call it off for a while. He joined the Texas Air National Guard in 1968 and was certified as a fighter pilot. In the year 1970 when his father contested in Texas again he lost the elections. In 1975, George Bush received his business degree from Harvard Business School. In 1977, he met Laura Welch and married her later that year. In 1982, he has twin daughters Jenna and Barbara.
On November 8, 1994, George W bush was elected as the governor for the state of Texas. He was re-elected again in 1998 and he was the first governor in the history of Texas to be elected twice. After that Bush stood for the presidential elections and there was no looking back. He won the elections by a very small margin against Al Gore. He was also elected as the president twice in his political career.
The first initiatives he took as the president were the No Child Left Behind Act, the bipartisan measures to raise the standards of education in schools and also more value for money. Bush was considered to be the prefect President if not for the Middle East wars which has left a sour taste in the mouth of the Americans and also internationally.
