Bush was born on July 6, 1946 to Barbara Bush and George H.W. Bush, who also served as the President of the United States. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut. Bush’s family moved to Texas where his father was contesting for senator but lost consistently.
Bush studied his elementary in Texas and for later education he was sent to the Phillips Institute and later went to Yale University for higher studies. Throughout his academic years, Bush was never known to be a bright student like his father. However, he showed leadership qualities wherever he went. He was the head of the cheerleading team in his school, he was the head of the fraternity in his sophomore years, he also headed the Yale University “Skulls and Bones” team just like his grandfather. Leadership was not something new for Bush and he always had a penchant for it.
However, in his early twenties Bush took alcohol and was a severe addict. He even got arrested for drunken driving once. However, things changed after he met Laura Welch, who was a positive influence on him and he ended up marrying her in the same year he met her. Laura Bush has been a consist key to his success through out his political career and personal life. She did a great job as the First Lady during Bush's tenure as president.
