- Tony Blair was born on May 6, 1953 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
- He was the youngest party leader who restored the Labor Party to power in Britain. He is also the youngest prime minister Britain ever had.
- At a young age he served as the member of the parliament, as a labor spokesman for treasury and trade and industry, as the secretary of state for energy and also employment. At a very young age he held many responsible positions and executed them with great capacity.
- In the 1997 elections he led the Labor Party to the biggest victory ever in the history of Britain’s politics.
- Even though Blair was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he spent most of his childhood in Durham, England.
- His son Leo was born while he was serving as prime minister. In fact, he was the first baby that was born in 150 years while a prime minister was serving the country. This was also mainly attributed to the cause that Tony Blair was a young prime minister that Britain ever had and that is why the possibility of progeny existed. Tony also had more children before Leo.
- In his youth Tony acted in lays and was even a part of a rock band in school.
- He was in full support to switch Britain’s currency to Euro but since the British people opposed it he gave up.
- He decided to support the war in Iraq and also felt that he might lose his job over this decision. His decision came in after the September 11 attacks in America. However, it was not as bad for him as he resigned as a prime minister in 2007.

Tony Blair was elected as the Prime Minister of England in 1997. However, Blair has a long history of involvement in politics. He graduated from Oxford in 1975 and joined the Labor Party the same year.
