He went to various renowned institutes for education like Fettes College in Edinburgh and Oxford in England. Tony Blair was always an intelligent student; however, he never performed too well in science. In fact, it was one of the worst subjects for him.
Tony Blair was also the lead singer for a British Band called Ugly Rumors during his college days. However, he left the band and was attracted to politics. He joined politics in 1975.
He was only 22 when he joined the politics. At that time he was dating Cherie Booth and her father was influential person when it came to the political scene. He used her father’s connections in the politics to get his first break. Though Blair was not very successful in the beginning, he soon started climbing ropes once he got elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Sedgefield, Cherie’s home town.
Tony and Cherie were married in 1980 before he became an MP and they had four children. Leo was born when Tony was serving as a Prime Minister and as a fact; he was the first prime minister in one hundred and fifty years to have a child while holding the office.
Tony Blair was also re-elected as the Prime Minister and led his party to double victory in 2001. He served as the British Prime Minister until 2007 and then resigned.
